I taught agriculture at Rosewood Girls' School in Feira de Santana from 1982 to 2015. Most days I taught primary school children, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I had 1,390 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
