Büşra Sevgi Çakır

Rowing and fitness coach, Istanbul

  • 🇹🇷 Istanbul, Istanbul, Türkiye
  • Istanbul Athletic Club
  • 1980 to 1995
  • English, Turkish
I coached rowing at Istanbul Athletic Club from 1980 to 1995. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life. Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.

What gifts mean to Büşra: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
