I taught physical education at Lagos Middle School in Lagos from 1999 to 2008. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I learned every name in the first week.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
