Bruno G. Ávila

34 years teaching computer science in Oakland

🇺🇸 Oakland, California, United States
Since 1980
English, Spanish

I came to teaching late, after working as a radio technician, and 46 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I've had 1,930 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.

More about Bruno

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

Subjects taught

Computer science Agriculture

What gifts mean to Bruno: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
