I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 1991 at The Baobab Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
What gifts mean to Brooks: A gift would go toward materials for my next series.
