I've coached cycling at Los Angeles Bayview Football Club since 2000. Most of my players were between 12 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Brooklyn
If you played for me, you probably remember the quiz night we nearly won.
What gifts mean to Brooklyn: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
