For 32 years I've run the baseball program at Cardiff Lakeview Sports Club in Cardiff. We trained 4 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Brooklyn
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
