I coached hockey at Dublin Kilimanjaro Sports Club from 1988 to 2009. Most of my players were between 8 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
More about Bridget
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
