I've coached athletics at Parramatta Valley View Youth Club since 2014. Most of my players were between 10 and 17, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Brian
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Brian: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
