I've coached rowing at Anaheim Athletic Club since 1980. Most of my players were between 9 and 13, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I play music while people worked.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
What gifts mean to Brenda: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.

You coached me in 2006. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Ekurhuleni.

A small gift is a big thank-you.
