I coached baseball at Sydney Heritage Football Club from 1981 to 2019. Most of my players were between 9 and 16, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Brandon
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Brandon: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
