Bolaji Kayode Bello
Master of leatherwork, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Epe, Lagos, Nigeria
- Old Trinity Shop
- Since 1987
- English, Hausa
I've worked in leatherwork since 1987. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,480 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
Thank you for stopping by.
More about Bolaji
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Bolaji: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
