I've worked in plumbing since 1989. I learned from my father and passed what I could on to 1,410 apprentices.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Birgit
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Birgit: Any gift will help me keep the workshop open for evening lessons.
