I coached chess at São Paulo Athletic Club from 1999 to 2013. Most of my players were between 10 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
More about Bianca
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Bianca: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.

Thanks for picking me when I was the slowest kid on the team! Greetings from Columbus.
