Benjamin H. Ortiz
Volunteer mentor with Hope Learning Hub
- 🇺🇸 Houston, Texas, United States
- Hope Learning Hub
- 1991 to 2000
- English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 430 people through Hope Learning Hub.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Benjamin: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
