I taught history at Pittsburgh Secondary School in Pittsburgh from 1991 to 2006. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I never once raised my voice.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Bella
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
