I've been a nurse for twelve years, most of them in palliative care at Maple Ridge General Hospital in Bakersfield. Night shifts taught me patience, and patients taught me everything else.
The thing I'm proudest of is that families usually remember my name. I'm learning the guitar.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
