For 33 years I ran the cycling program at Columbus Swimming Club in Columbus. We trained 5 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Beatriz
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.
What gifts mean to Beatriz: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
