I taught economics and geography at Silverlake Primary School, Johannesburg. I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Beatrix
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Beatrix: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

You taught me economics in 2015 at Silverlake Primary School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
