Beatrice Tabitha Njoroge
Local pottery and welding
- 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Since 1982
- English
I've worked in pottery since 1982. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 1,280 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Beatrice
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
What gifts mean to Beatrice: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
