Bayu Lukman Halim
26 years teaching religious studies in Depok
- 🇮🇩 Depok, West Java, Indonesia
- Willow Creek Middle School
- Since 2017
- English, Indonesian
I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and nine years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the choir after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I sing in a choir.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Bayu
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Bayu: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me religious studies in 2018 at Willow Creek Middle School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
