Bayu Candra Sitompul
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇩 Bandung, West Java, Indonesia
- Orchid Trades Guild
- Since 2009
- English, Indonesian
My trade is thatching. I opened my own shop in 2009 in Bandung and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I try to remember everyone's name.
More about Bayu
If I fixed something for you, I hope it's still holding.
What gifts mean to Bayu: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
