I've spent 14 years as a lecturer in public health at Frankfurt Polytechnic in Frankfurt. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
I'm happiest when a student comes to office hours with a question that makes me rethink something I've said for years. I fix old bicycles.

Some of my favorite days were field trips that went spectacularly wrong.
