Basma Maryam Taha

Teacher at 6th of October City Academy, loves French

🇪🇬 6th of October City, Giza, Egypt
6th of October City Academy
Since 1992
English, Arabic

I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and 34 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Over the years I've had 1,460 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I'm still learning every day.

More about Basma

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

Subjects taught

French Environmental science

What gifts mean to Basma: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
