I taught English literature at Phoenix Secondary School in Chattogram from 2008 to 2019. Most days I taught the youngest children, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
