Bakari Omondi Kamau
Basketball and fitness coach, Mukono
- 🇺🇬 Mukono, Central Region, Uganda
- Mukono Boxing Gym
- 2006 to 2019
- English, Swahili
For 13 years I ran the basketball program at Mukono Boxing Gym in Mukono. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I never once raised my voice.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Bakari
Some of my former players now coach their own teams, which is the best thank-you I could ask for.

You coached me in 2021. I still hear your voice on the sideline. Greetings from Coyoacán.
