Babatunde Usman Coker
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇳🇬 Badagry, Lagos, Nigeria
- Little Jacaranda Repairs
- 2002 to 2015
- English
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 2002 in Badagry and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 20 years later for another job.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Babatunde
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Babatunde: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
