Babar Faisal Jilani
Shoemaking for 18 years in Karachi
- 🇵🇰 Karachi, Sindh, Pakistan
- 2004 to 2022
- English, Urdu
My trade is shoemaking. I opened my own shop in 2004 in Karachi and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 19 years later for another job.
More about Babar
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Babar: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
