Ayumi Matsumoto
Painter, potter and teacher at Old Mount Pleasant Studio
- 🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
- Old Mount Pleasant Studio
- Since 1994
- Japanese, French
I work mostly in mural painting, sometimes printmaking. My first show was in 1994 at Old Mount Pleasant Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I take the work seriously, though not myself. My studio is always a bit of a mess.
More about Ayumi
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

What gifts mean to Ayumi: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.

I bought one of your pieces in 1994. It's still the first thing I see in the morning! Greetings from Onitsha.
