Ayu Fani Utomo
Painter, potter and teacher at Little Silverlake Art Collective
- 🇮🇩 Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia
- Little Silverlake Art Collective
- 1980 to 1991
- English, Indonesian
I work mostly in sculpture, sometimes textiles. My first show was in 1980 at Little Silverlake Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by my grandmother's kitchen. I sing in a choir.
What gifts mean to Ayu: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
