I taught special education at Unity Middle School in Istanbul from 1999 to 2014. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Outside the classroom I'm always reading two books at once. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
