Ayaka Misaki Yokoyama
Home economics and Spanish teacher, Tokyo
- 🇯🇵 Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan
- Ashford Girls' School
- Since 2006

I came to teaching late, after working as a mechanic, and 20 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ayaka
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

You taught me home economics in 2021 at Ashford Girls' School. I still remember the morning the power went out and we had class in the yard.
