I coached tennis at Newcastle upon Tyne Athletic Club from 1989 to 2005. Most of my players were between 11 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.
More about Axel
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Axel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
