I taught chemistry at Kansas City Secondary School in Kansas City from 1985 to 2005. Most days I taught Grade 8, and I never turned anyone away.
Over the years I had 1,000 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
What gifts mean to Axel: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
