I taught mathematics at Kampala Girls' School in Kampala from 1984 to 2021. Most days I taught primary school children, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 700 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Awino
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
