Auma Janet Nakamya
Agriculture and mathematics teacher, Kampala
- 🇺🇬 Kampala, Central Region, Uganda
- Mount Pleasant Girls' School
- Since 2001
- English, Swahili
I teach agriculture at Mount Pleasant Girls' School in Kampala since 2001. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I learn every name in the first week.
Over the years I've had 1,030 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

You taught me agriculture in 2013 at Mount Pleasant Girls' School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
