I'm a textiles artist based in Dar es Salaam. I've been making things since 2005 and I still get excited when a new batch of materials arrives.
Most of my work is inspired by the sea. I garden badly but happily.
More about Auma
I've had 14 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.
What gifts mean to Auma: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
