Auma Eunice Simiyu
Musician with Mukono Music School
- 🇺🇬 Mukono, Central Region, Uganda
- Mukono Music School
- Since 2015
- English, Swahili
I play traditional drumming and jazz. I started in 2015 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 10 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Auma
I write my first song when I was 22. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Auma: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
