For 45 years I have been the special education teacher at San Francisco Girls' School. I teach the final-year class and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 2,300 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
