Atim Akoth Omondi
Self-taught ceramics artist
- 🇹🇿 Dar es Salaam, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
- Fairview Art Collective
- Since 1986
- English, Swahili
I work mostly in ceramics, sometimes photography. My first show was in 1986 at Fairview Art Collective, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
I also teach a weekly class at Fairview Art Collective, which keeps me honest.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Atim
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.

What gifts mean to Atim: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
