Atieno Rose Ssemwogerere
Piano and traditional drumming teacher
- 🇺🇬 Jinja, Eastern Region, Uganda
- Jinja Band
- Since 1991
- English
I play piano and traditional drumming. I started in 1991 with a secondhand instrument and a lot of stubbornness.
I teach about 15 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I watch every football match going.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Atieno
I write my first song when I was 17. It was terrible and I still love it.

What gifts mean to Atieno: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
