Athumani Tumusiime Ngowi

Coached hockey for 38 years in Kinondoni

  • 🇹🇿 Kinondoni, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania
  • Kinondoni St. Mary's Boxing Gym
  • Since 1988
  • English, Swahili
For 38 years I've run the hockey program at Kinondoni St. Mary's Boxing Gym in Kinondoni. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather. My best seasons were the ones we lost most games and still showed up every Tuesday. Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

More about Athumani

I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.

What gifts mean to Athumani: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
