Athumani Juma Kioko
Watercolor and mural painting artist
- 🇰🇪 Likoni, Mombasa, Kenya
- St. Anne's Gallery
- Since 2012
- English, Swahili, Spanish
I work mostly in watercolor, sometimes mural painting. My first show was in 2012 at St. Anne's Gallery, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the river near my house. I make terrible puns.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Athumani
I've had 5 small exhibitions over the years. My favorite was the one with the worst lighting.

What gifts mean to Athumani: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.

I bought one of your pieces in 2019. It's still the first thing I see in the morning. Greetings from Londrina.
