Asif Tareq Mahmud
Oud and jazz teacher
- 🇧🇩 Sylhet, Sylhet, Bangladesh
- Lotus Orchestra
- 1986 to 2020
- English
I've played oud from 1986 to 2020, mostly in pubs, churches, weddings and anywhere else that would have me. These days I also teach.
I teach about 15 students a week. Some of them are better than me now, which is the whole point. I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window.
More about Asif
I wrote my first song when I was 17. It was terrible and I still love it.
What gifts mean to Asif: A gift would go toward new strings, repairs and music for my students.
