Asif Mahin Roy
Master of painting and decorating, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Mumbai, Maharashtra, India
- Mumbai Shop
- 1983 to 2017
- English, Bengali
My trade is painting and decorating. I opened my own shop in 1983 in Mumbai and I'm still there most mornings.
The best compliment I ever got was a customer who called me back 13 years later for another job.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.

What gifts mean to Asif: I'd put gifts toward a new set of tools for the next apprentice.
