Ashok Jain
Master of pottery, now teaching apprentices
- 🇮🇳 Thane, Maharashtra, India
- Old Thane Works
- Since 2009
- English, Hindi
My trade is pottery. I opened my own shop in 2009 in Thane and I'm still there most mornings.
Apprentices come in nervous and leave proud. That's my favorite part. I take the work seriously, though not myself.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ashok
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
