I've spent eight years as a lecturer in linguistics at Birmingham State University in Birmingham. I loved the lecture hall and loved office hours even more.
Former students now work as a farmhand and in a dozen other fields. It is the best part of this job.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
