Asher E. Medina
Mentor in engineering and first-generation students
- 🇨🇦 Toronto, Ontario, Canada
- Toronto Mentoring Circle
- 1986 to 2008
- English
I started mentoring after a colleague did the same for me. Since then I've worked with 900 people through Toronto Mentoring Circle.
I don't give advice so much as ask questions until the answer shows up. I garden badly but happily.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

If I mentored you, I hope you're still pushing yourself.

What gifts mean to Asher: I'd put gifts toward travel for in-person sessions with students.
