For 35 years I've run the swimming program at Mardan Community Club in Mardan. We trained 3 evenings a week, whatever the weather.
Winning was never the point, though I won't pretend I didn't enjoy it. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
What gifts mean to Asad: A gift would go toward kit and bus fares for kids who can't afford them.
