I've coached cycling at Joliet Athletic Club since 1983. Most of my players were between 8 and 14, and a lot of them turned into friends for life.
Practice always ended with the same rule: nobody walks home alone. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Arnel
I still keep the team photo from our best season on the wall.
What gifts mean to Arnel: I'll put any gifts toward a small fund so no child misses a match because of money.
